They meet the second Monday of the month at the Blue Lagoon Latter Day Saints Meeting House located at 5291 NW 1st St., Miami, Florida 33126. O-Shot-Co-Chee is the "little white heron."

April - O-Shot-Co-Chee

Good evening, Brothers.

The O Shot Co Chee Chapter meets at the First LDS Chapel located on Flagler Street on the first Monday of every month from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  This last meeting we had nine youth attend the meeting which was a tremendous increase from our previous meetings.  This is a very big step to the chapter to promote attendance and comittment.  We discussed the responsibilities and duties that the chapter would be conducting at Section Conference which was to prepare, build and move the canopies for the Innovative Seminars. We also discussed, Spring Camporee that the chapter will be most likely helping out in any way as needed.

When the meeting was concluded we played a brief game of basketball which the brothers enjoyed and this will hopefully, bring more committment and attendance to our chapter.

The day of Section Conference was a great experience for the chapter.  We had 19 people registered from the chapter, this was a great turn out of participation from the chapter from many recent events.  Section Conference will be an experience not forgotten through out our Scouting Careers. I would like to give a big thank you to Fred Kimball, AJ Naranjo and Alberto Llovet for supporting our Section and our chapter and especially the youth scouts for making it happen.

February - O-Shot-Co-Chee

Good evening, Brothers.

This month our meeting took place at the LDS Chapel we discussed the upcoming events taking place such as the Coconut Grove Arts Festival and the Scoutmaster's Camporee.

Our unit will be assisting on the weekend of the Coconut Grove Arts Festival and some members have already signed up. I will be contacting more units in our Chapter to participate in this event. The Northern Chapters will be assisting with the Indian Village and would come and support the Arts Festival on the following Sunday and Monday.

Our focus next month will be on upcoming projects and how we can contribute more as a Chapter to Section Conference.

January - O-Shot-Co-Chee

Good evening, Brothers.

Happy New Year to all! The O Shot Co Chee Chapter had our first meeting of the year at The LDS Chapel in Flagler Street. This meeting had the greatest number of attendance. We had 15 brothers in attendance with the Chapter and approximately 20 scouts that also participated in the "Life to Eagle Seminar" . The Chapter has visited four troops this past month for OA Elections. The O Shot Co Chee is growing rapidly in membership. At the meeting service projects were discussed and campouts that the chapter will be participating in the upcoming month. We plan to continue to grow as a Chapter and Lodge.

November - O-Shot-Co-Chee

Good evening, Brothers.

The O Shot Co Chee chapter has been doing great so far and will continue doing well. Our monthly chapter meetings are still being held on the first Monday of the month at the LDS Chapel at 5291 NW 1 Street at 7:30 p.m. As of right now, our chapter has been celebrating the great success of our Haunted Forest theme Sharkie-Nado which I believe is worthy of the "Golden Pumpkin" award.

Currently in progress the following chapter positions have been filled:

First Vice Chief: Andres Puello
Second Vice Chief: Andrew Llovet
Secretary: Nicolas Mesa

The chapter's OA candidate election was a great turn out. We have recruited five youth from Troop 16 and 4 youth from Troop 43. More OA candidate elections for O Shot Co Chee will be held soon with other troops.

Our chapter has been starting to work on the O Shot Co Chee chapter newsletter with the help of our Lodge Officer Josh Samander. The newsletter is currently work in progress and we hope to have it finalized by next month. We also discussed the many service projects that are coming up soon, in particular tomorrow November 7th, the chapter will be helping our Second Vice Chief, Andrew Llovet on his Eagle Project.

We are looking to having a great year with the Lodge and Chapter.

Yours In Brotherhood,

Daniel C.
